Launched in February 2016, Sheffield Steel Junior Rollers (SSJR) is the home of junior derby in South Yorkshire. We offer a fun alternative to traditional sports for skaters or any gender, aged 10-17 years old.
Levels
There are 4 skater levels in junior roller derby, defined by the Junior Roller Derby Association (JRDA).
- Level 0 (Beginners)
- Level 1 (Positional play only / non-contact)
- Level 2 (Pushing, leaning, no hitting)
- Level 3 (Full contact)
