Officials are the amazing people who keep the game – often literally – on track.

Skating Officials

Skating Officials (SOs) or referees are crucial to roller derby. Skating Officials determine lead jammer status, call penalties, stop play in case of accidents or safety concerns, and count and confirm points.

Non Skating Officials

Non Skating Officials (NSOs), sort out all of the roller derby admin that happens before, during and after a game. Without them jam timing, score counting, penalty tracking and, our world (and wheels) couldn’t turn.
